As the SEM Director, you will develop and optimize the SEM capabilities for the agency while spearheading the SEM client relationship with McAfee, USAA, The Home Depot, Sotheby’s Realty, NewHomeGuide.com, and other acquisition-based clients.

The SEM Director is responsible for optimizing client paid search campaigns to gain the highest possible ranking and overall SEM performance per client business goals.

The SEM Director will take responsibility for managing customer accounts related to SEM, conduct SEM analysis and recommendations and help shape and grow our SEM line of business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Drive the P+L of the SEM division.
  • Manage SEM customer accounts and direct the delivery of SEM services, providing the primary point of contact for customers.
  • Develop and execute complex paid media strategies across Google, Bing and other search platforms. Includes paid search campaigns, PLAs, and continuous channel exploration.
  • Monitor and assure the quality of SEM services and deliverables provided to customers.
  • Work with management to improve and expand our SEM services, and help grow our SEM customer base and services we offer.
  • Evaluate new and potential clients to determine the size and scope of SEM effort.
  • Develop business proposals for new customers, and help to acquire new customers.
  • Conduct competitive research on clients' competitors with regards to SEM + social media.
  • Conduct keyword research and develop target keyword lists.
  • Provide benchmark and tracking reports to customers on SEM positions, traffic, conversions, and other metrics.
  • Assist clients with the implementation of recommended changes.
  • Develop strategies to address new paradigms such as personalization, mobile, voice search, and alternative search engines.

Background + Experience

  • 6-8 years of paid search experience.
  • Previous experience building and leading small to mid-size teams.
  • Significant experience successfully growing multiple business models across key platforms including measuring LTV in subscription services and online to offline sales.
  • Significant understanding of Ad Tech and how to leverage efficiently.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to create a narrative highlighting data insight and presenting data-driven strategies.
  • Advanced level of experience/knowledge of Digital Marketing platforms, Excel, and other Business Intelligence platforms.
  • Confidence presenting to clients across multiple levels.
